st Graders have been working hard to design a city map for their Ozobot to explore. They added color codes for their Ozobot to follow, "debugging" their code when necessary. Lots of fantastic collaboration! Way to go 1st Graders!

Our 4th and 5th grade Maker Club started today! Students enjoyed exploring the different materials we have available in our Makerspace. Check out more pictures here: Maker Club Session #1 Photo Gallery
nd graders worked in pairs to create a pixel art design and then wrote a program for a "robotic arm" (or another student) to follow. After all students are ready, they will trade programs and try to run them to recreate the picture. We'll see if any "debugging" needs to be done.
rd graders designed an accessory for their Ozobot that would allow it to push or pull a marble or pom pom. The accessory could not be taped to the Ozobot itself and had to be built from the available materials (cardboard, straws, pipe cleaners).
th graders began the building phase of their musical instrument project this week. It was such fun to see their plans come together in 3D. I was most impressed by the perseverance and team work that prevailed as they struggled through designs that didn't work the first time. Great work Leos!
