This week in the media center ...
1st graders learned about the many uses for the Internet and went on a virtual field trip to the San Diego Zoo to learn about animals. 
2nd graders practiced writing kind, positive, and respectful comments online and discussed the importance of never using the Internet to be hurtful.

All 4th and 5th grade classes successfully solved all the clues and "broke out" of the box while learning about Internet Safety and Digital Citizenship. Way to go Leos!

This week we started our digital citizenship unit. 4th and 5th graders attempted to save Captain Digital Citizen's Passwords by "Breaking Out" of the box (almost there!). 2nd graders filled their digital footprints with information that is safe to share online. 1st graders learned how to identify websites that are "just right for kids" and to be cautious of advertisements.
