2nd and 3rd graders participated in a straw tower design challenge. Using only straws and 3 feet of masking tape, they had to construct a tower that could hold the weight of a tennis ball for at least 15 seconds. I saw a lot of great team work, problem solving, and GRIT as they worked through the Engineering and Design Process.
